Mini Trucks and Car Rules:
Racing Starts at 6:30 p.m.

2400 LB weight or 1 LB per CC whichever is greater. Stock type suspension components. Weight jacks OK. No coil overs. Max 8" spoiler not to extend forward past rear of rear tire. No altered fire walls. FOUR CYLINDER ENGINE ONLY. One two BBL carb. Stock intake. Stock exhaust, stock distributor. NO MSD or aftermarket IGN systems. Performance cam OK. Stock or stock displacement pistons only. Must pass a compression test of 175 LBS max stock heads and blocks. Stock steel flywheel. Stock type clutch and pressure plate with scatter shield. A hole in the bell housing must be provided for inspection. Stock factory steel body. Max 8" steel wheel.

MINI CARS:
2400 LB weight. 4 CYLINDER import or domestic coupes, sedans, wagons with maximum wheel base of 100". No rotary or front wheel or 4 wheel drive cars. Full body hood to trunk. Acceptable 4" radius cutout for tire clearance. No sharp edges. Down draft carbs only.

GENERAL RULES: You must be 16 years old to race in the Sportsman-Mini's- Supers or Sprints. Unless you have won the JR Championship you have the option of moving up to another class.

All cars require a 5 point SFI racing harness attached to the roll cage. Alcohol cars require a SFI-5 rating. For Supers, Sportsman, Mini's and Jr.'s. Fire suits, racing gloves, racing shoes, full face shield helmet, and window net 24x16" with top release welded to cage at bottom required. Head cover, neck brace and nomex underwear recommended. For Sprints SFI-5 rating fire suit, racing gloves, racing shoes, full face shield helmet, neck brace, arm restraints and helmet net required. Nomex underwear and head cover recommended. All helmets need to be 1990-newer snell approved or equivalent. Blood type on helmet recommended. Cars to be cleanly painted. Highly visible numbers 18" on top and side of car. No primer paint or spray can numbers. If you fail to meet the safety requirements you will not race and no race grace will be given.

Wing window bars in supers, sportsman, jr.'s and mini's made from roll bar material. Minimum 1 ¾" .095 wall round tubing. 3 door bars with upright bracing on driver's side. Outer door bars permitted 1" from body and bumper ends inset 2" from outside edge of tire. Bumper ends should be plated or strapped to prevent hooking. Doors to be welded shut, all bracing to be track approved. All glass, trim, mirrors and all flammable material to be removed from the car. No radios or antifreeze. Windshields removed, replaced by heavy wire mesh rock guard. No open fire walls, holes to be plugged. For sprints floor boards need to extend from firewall to under driver seat. Motors to have solid mounts or to be chained down. Cars must be self starting (except sprints) with battery enclosed in nonconductive box securely fastened. All cars require master disconnect switch brightly marked in open view. Stock balancers to have plate on 3/16" steel larger than outer ring or pulley bolted to balancer. Front loop required on open drive lines. Drive lines and added weight to be painted white or bright color. No loose body parts/sheet metal. Hook area to be made of chain or tow hook and must be visible to wrecker. A minimum 2 ¾ lb charged fire extinguisher on board with quick release bracket recommended. All cars must have muffling device 95D. B.A. at 100 feet.

Do not block the fire and ambulance entrance. All violators will be disqualified. Driver to remain in car at all times while on track during competition (exception fires). No work to be done on cars while on track, except during red flag conditions and when approved by track officials.

All racers must attend the mandatory drivers meeting or you will forfeit your starting position.

NO COMPLAINING TO FLAGMAN OR TRACK PERSONAL, NO OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE. ANY VERBAL OR PHYSICAL ABUSE DIRECTED TOWARDS ANYONE WILL BE GROUNDS FOR IMMEDIATE DISQUALIFICATION AND, OR MAY BE EJECTED FROM THE FACILITY AND POSSIBLY FINED. ANY DRIVER OR PIT PERSON FOUND TO BE, OR HAVE BEEN CONSUMING ALCOHOL OR INTOXICANTS AND IS IN THE PITS WILL BE EJECTED FROM THE FACILITY FOR AT LEAST THAT WEEKEND.
All race and pit crew must sign a release upon entering pit area. Pit pass to be openly displayed on wrist. Vehicles in the pit area are not covered by insurance. Due to insurance regulations ATV's will not be allowed in the pit area without proof of insurance. Driver's under 18 are required to have both parents sign a parental consent and must be submitted to the pit gate before driver can race.
No refunds will be made after entry. Rain checks will be issued incase of a rain out. Your car is your responsibility; make sure it is ready to run when you show up. Tow rigs are recommended to have (1) 5lb charged fire extinguisher. No dumping of oil, gas or chemicals of any kind on the grounds. Driver will be suspended and will incur the cost of clean up at track per the officials discretion. It may be necessary to combine different classes to create a field, pill draw may also be used to form driver's position even after qualifying. There is a $20.00 fee to resister your number to be in the point's contention. Madras Speedway Inc. officials shall have authority over all events and may require revisions to be made on these rules as deemed necessary.
